This topic provides information about viewing search
results when you
Find questions
by keyword. Your search terms are highlighted
in the Search Results lists and in the Full Question view.
How to use a Search Results list
The following table describes how to use a Search Results
list.

View a Full Question
When
searching current questions, this view includes the tools needed
to answer or act on the question. (BME administrators can act only
on their institution-level questions.) |
Click on the question.
QuestionPoint
displays the Full Question.
You can click
the Return to List link located at the top of the
Full Question page to return to the search results. |

View multiple Full Questions on one page that you
can scroll through
This view does not include
the tools needed to answer or act on questions. |
- Check the box located to
the left of each question that you wish to view. (The check boxes
are not available if you are viewing 100 results per page.)
You
can check the box located below the list to automatically check the
boxes of all the questions on the page.
- Click the View Checked Transactions button
located below the list.
QuestionPoint
displays on one page the Full Question for each checked question. You
can click the Return to List link located at the
top of the Full Question page to return to the search results. |

Description of a Search Results
list
Elements that appear above the Search Results list:
- The total number of records found by the search
- A link that you can click to view the search criteria
- Range of records included on the current page of the list
- Page navigation links and buttons if the list has multiple
pages
- Results Per Page drop-down list showing the current value
and available options: 10, 20, 30, 50, 100
- Sort By links showing the current value and available options:
ID ascending, ID descending, Relevance, Patron Name (not available
in Service History)
Columns in the Search Results list:
- The first column is usually empty. A + (plus)
button appears there when a long question in the list has been truncated
at 250 characters. Click the + button to view the entire
question.
- Check boxes to select multiple questions for viewing in full
on one page. The boxes are not available if you are viewing 100
results per page.
- Item numbers of the records in the list
- Question ID, transaction type, question text, and received
timestamp
- Institution and Patron (not available in Service History)
Elements that appear below the Search Results list:
- A check box that you can click to check or uncheck all
the check boxes on the page. The box is not available if you are
viewing 100 results per page.
- A View Checked Transactions button that you can click to view
multiple Full Questions on one page. The button is not available
if you are viewing 100 results per page.
- Range of records included on the current page of the list
- Page navigation links and buttons if the list has multiple
pages
- Date and time of last indexing
