Report problems
with KB records
Includes: Request removal of KB records
Local KB records
For records in a local KB, contact an editor for the
KB or your institution administrator to:
- Report problems, corrections, changes, and additions
- Request removal of a record
Provide the following information:
- Record ID
- For a problem report, describe the problem, correction, change,
or addition; include field names and specific information to help
the editor locate the problem and make the needed changes.
- For a removal request, indicate that the record should be
removed and describe the reason; if the record duplicates another
record, include the Record ID of the other record.
Global KB records
For records in the Global KB, use the Contact Support
form in QuestionPoint to:
- Report problems, corrections, changes, and additions
- Request removal of a record
Procedure:
- Click the Print View link
in the record if you want to view the record in a separate window
while you prepare your report.
- Click the Support link located below the
black bar at the top of the page.
QuestionPoint
displays the Contact Support form. Note: Use
your browser's Back and Forward buttons
if you need to move between the Contact Support form and the KB
record.
- Provide the requested contact information:
- Your name
- Your institution or library name
- Your institution's OCLC symbol, if known
- Your e-mail address
- Your telephone number
- Select the Suggestions or Comments radio
button.
- Enter your problem report or removal request in the text box
located below the radio buttons.
Provide
the following information:
- Record ID
- For a problem report, describe the problem, correction, change,
or addition; include field names and specific information to help
the editor locate the problem and make the needed changes.
- For a removal request, indicate that the record should be
removed and describe the reason; if the record duplicates another
record, include the Record ID of the other record.
- Click the Submit button.
QuestionPoint
displays the My QuestionPoint page. Note: Click
your browser's Back button twice if you
need to return to the KB record.
