What is the [In Progress] label in a question list?
The [In Progress] label in front of the entry for a chat transcript in a question list indicates that the chat session is still in progress and you cannot access the Full Question containing the transcript. The list entry is not hot linked and it has no check box.
When does an In Progress entry appear in a question list?
The entry appears when a patron submits a chat request.
What is the status of the transcript of an In Progress session?
The status of the transcript is "new" until a librarian joins the session. When that happens, the status changes to "answered." The librarian can change the status when he or she ends the session.

When can I access the chat transcript to follow up on the chat session?
The [In Progress] label is removed and you can access the Full Question containing the chat transcript when any of the following happens:
- The patron clicks the Exit button in the patron chat window to end the session.
- The librarian clicks the End Session button in the Chat monitor to end the session.
- Neither the patron nor the librarian clicks the button to end the session within one hour after the patron submitted the chat request. (In this case, the label is removed and you can access the Full Question within two hours after the patron submitted the chat request.)
