Simon Day is Product Manager for End-User Services at OCLC PICA with responsibility for discovery services (FirstSearch, Open WorldCat), eContent (NetLibrary) and virtual reference (QuestionPoint). OCLC PICA serves users of OCLC services in Europe and Southern Africa. Simon is based at OCLC PICA's Birmingham office in the United Kingdom. Since joining OCLC PICA in 1998, Simon has worked primarily in training and support roles prior to taking up a position within Product Management.

Simon received his Masters in Librarianship from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1991. He worked for five years in reference and technical services roles at the University of Huddersfield and for three years as a Product Analyst with the library solutions supplier BLCMP Library Services Ltd. (now Talis) before joining OCLC PICA.
