Nancy O'Neill < nancy.oneill@smgov.net > is the Principal Librarian of Reference Services at the Santa Monica Public Library in Santa Monica, California. Nancy has served as a member of the following: AskNow (California) 24/7 Reference Cooperative, QuestionPoint Global, Collaborative Digital Reference Service/QuestionPoint Advisory Board, and the AskNow Advisory Board.

The Santa Monica Public Library was an original member of the Library of Congress Collaborative Digital Reference Service (CDRS) and received the first question submitted through the system. The Santa Monica Public Library was also an original member of the 24/7 Reference service and the first public library in California to offer interactive, real-time reference through the 24/7 Reference Project (now California AskNow) in July 2000.
